about me.
my full name is aliyaah jaffrey-slowinski. i didn't have space to put it all in the sidebar, because i needed to leave room for the infinite number of pictures i have. i’m a physics and electrical engineering student, but i’m also an artist. a photo-taker, dancer, doodler, guitar-strummer. i’ve been told to pick a side and stick with it. no use in pursuing anything artistic if i’m just going to end up in a research lab one day. i reject that opinion. never expect me to pick. there's pride in everything i do.
i love a lot of things. i love the earth and everything in it. the people, the life, the land, the lights. there’s so much beauty to be appreciated in this strange place we’ve somehow found ourselves in. beauty in leaves and in sidewalk cracks, in laughter and in tears, in sunlight that spills gently across the wooden floors of your apartment and in the faces of all the people you love. that’s why i take pictures. to capture the love. i hope you can see that here.
